About
I am a photographer residing in Memphis, Tennessee. I graduated from the University of Memphis in December 2019 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies in journalism and art. I took classes in photography, sculpture, and news journalism.
I have worked as a puppeteer since 2010, including roles in Peter Rabbit and Cinderella, with Weaver’s Tales Puppetry. Together, we produced a full-stage, large-scale production of The Crane Maiden. This project built skills in story development, puppet making, painting, sewing, stage movement, and puppet manipulation.
In 2018, I completed the Disney College Program working in merchandise at Mouse Gear in Epcot, adding to my extensive experience in retail.
I took three photography classes at The University of Memphis, two in digital photography and one in film. I practiced using a digital camera in manual mode, editing in Camera Raw and Adobe Photoshop, and developing and printing film. I put my skills into practice by doing conceptual photography projects and cosplay photography. I made friends through the Memphis convention scene and shoot pictures of them in their costumes.
I made my first costume for San Diego Comic-Con International in 2009, when tickets were relatively accessible. I played Delirium from the Sandman by Neil Gaiman and dressed my then-boyfriend as Morpheus from the same series. My appreciation for cosplay led me to take sculpture classes in order to learn how to work with different three-dimensional materials.
